Being an adult has its own challenges, and sometimes our issues to adapt to whatever life throws at us can be due to a variety of issues, including the way we experienced our caregivers, aunts, uncles, grandparents in response to our needs, communal expectations, our own temperaments and biological dispositions to inherit untreated issues of anxiety, depression, etc. For some, the journey has and continues to be a resilient one instilled with self understanding, compassion and acceptance. For others, we may have missed the tools to think about what happened, why we felt the way we did and how to move forward in a more productive manner. As a result, we struggle with self acceptance, our relationships and work. But we are not alone, our problems are more common than we think and can be helped.
